This guide will speak for itself in saying there’s literally something for everyone at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Whether you are an introvert looking for a smaller community, or an extrovert looking to challenge yourself + explore, this base will not do you wrong. You will learn the joy that comes with the colloquialism “the mountain is out” and go through the winter days when we all revert to breweries to pass the time since it’s pouring rain for what feels like days on end. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest where the weather changes 10 times a day and your love for it will remain the same! We’re SO excited for you!

While we for sure wouldn’t say we are the most outdoorsy humans ever, you simply just learn to like it. WA is absolutely stunning so it’s kinda hard not too enjoy exploring all of its sides! If you are about to move here, we suggest a few months of no alcohol as you will be enjoying it alllll the time as there are endless wineries + breweries to try
. We mentioned it above but seriously, Nordstrom is where it is at. We are so happy to support small businesses that pop up as well! But once you get a taste of Nordstrom customer service + experience the quality of clothes they carry, it will be hard for you to argue against it
