Been going back and forth on if I'm going to go or Been going back and forth on if I'm going to go or skip (for the third year in a row!!!!) if my husband is gone again 😅 I'm leaning hard toward going, and trying to bring along any other solo spouses in the squadron. What would you do?

These kids often experience more in a few short years than many adults will in a lifetime. They are strong, resilient, open hearted, and courageous. Operation Homefront is on a mission to encourage and recognize incredible military kids. Those ages 13-18 who excel in their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurriculars, and more - all while facing the challenges of military family life. After 3.5 incredible years in Alaska, we are movin After 3.5 incredible years in Alaska, we are moving, like SOON. As in, the movers get here in 2 weeks soon! 😅 You may have been tracking that my husband recently wrapped up his active duty commitment and how we are officially transitioning into becoming an Air Force Reserve family while my husband shifts flying for the commercial airlines. For 10 years, I looked at this transition as a shift to where life would be dictated more by me and what I wanted to do after years of my life being at the will of the military. I’ve come to realize that as we grew and expanded our family, those priorities have shifted. And that the path we have chosen to take still will revolve around partially the military but also around this new life with the airlines. I’m learning to find beauty in a life of sacrificing self for the greater mission of a whole and happy family. So we are moving. And to a place that I honestly never planned to go back to🤪 Stay tuned because I will definitely be bringing you along for the ride as I try to accomplish all of the things with such a tight turn around😅 back to the Lower 48 we go!

After talking with our friend, and gold star spouse, @val.c.schmitz we understand that it doesn’t matter exactly what you say - as long as you say it. Showing up and supporting someone in their time of need is so important and the effort never goes unnoticed.
