So, what is Instant Teams? It’s a FREE (yes, you read that right) resource to help you find a job as a military spouse. It was founded in 2016 by Erica McMannes and Liza Rodewald. They understand the difficulties we as military spouses face when finding work because they ARE us. They use a skill-based hiring strategy because resumes don’t always highlight everything we have to offer and are capable of. You are able to find remote, hybrid or in-person jobs, depending on your needs. Something that stood out most to me was their drive to give you all of the tools you may need to land that job. Don’t meet qualifications? NOT A PROBLEM. They have a library full of free (yes, you read it again) courses that will grow your skill sets! All you have to do is head over to instantteams.com and create an account! SIMPLE! And let’s be honest, with our unpredictable life, simple is always appreciated!
BUT IT GETS EVEN BETTER! They understand the difficulties of finding a job and bringing in an income AND they also understand the importance of community (I mean, that’s why your here right? Because this community is AWESOME). So they created the Twelve Million Plus app! 12M+ is a safe, digital space to bring the military community TOGETHER. The connections being made are incredible. We as military spouses have the unique ability to connect with people from all over because of our partners career and I think that is really beautiful – now it just got even easier. I think sometimes, if we let it, this life can feel more isolating at times. I have personally found such a special place (much like this one) where I connect with individuals going through something similar. I’m so grateful for people who make it their passion to bring us together.

Hi, I’m Alex! I grew up in Nevada enjoying Lake Tahoe, hunting, fishing, camping & being with family. I’ve been married to my husband for 6 years! We have two beautiful children. I love spending time with family (especially outdoors), a nice glass of wine, a good food truck & good friends. I recently found a passion in fitness & started to pursue a career as a Personal Trainer. I pray I always show our kids the beauty of this lifestyle & that anything is possible.
