Sure. We had an idea that our spouse would deploy. We guessed we would move frequently. It wasn’t a surprise to us that we would miss out on holidays and big events in our hometowns.

We could have never predicted the heartache that comes with a PCS (permanent change of station) move and saying goodbye to the friends that became family at your current assignment.
