Alright, WAFs. You know we’ve been on the hunt for more natural products in our homes. In this post, Jason is touching on his transition out of the military, and how SWAE Candles came to be!
THE TRANSITION
Transitioning out of the military was very challenging for me. I thought I wanted something different. And suddenly, life is no longer going 110mph; I felt lost and without a purpose for a very long time because I never asked for help at the moments I needed it the most.
ADVICE FOR OTHERS
There is nothing wrong with getting out of the military; the best thing to do is to have multiple plans because things never turn out exactly the way you expect them to. And ultimately, to be happy, make goals, and pursue dreams that will make you happy.
WHAT IS SWAE?
SWAE means being adventurous and following through. The idea of creating a candle company surfaced when I bought a bunch of big store brands and mass-produced candles for my partner’s birthday in an attempt to surprise her. She has asthma and ended up having a severe allergic reaction!
I was stunned to see so many candles jam-packed with harmful chemicals; thus, it became my mission to create something that is not only clean-burning and nontoxic but something that is also safe for children, pets, and all of our loved ones to enjoy.
